IMPORTANT: The broom may shed bristles initially, which is normal and a sign that the item is brand new. Our brush maker means well and tends to hammer more bristles into the wood than necessary to ensure a dense bristle density, as this is the only way to guarantee its effectiveness. Instead of cutting corners, they use too many bristles.
After the bristles are "married" to the body of the brush, excess bristles are combed out during production. Not all bristles are removed in this process, and these are the hairs you see after receiving and using the brush, leading you to believe it's shedding.
However, this isn't the case. The bristles are firmly anchored in the wooden body. What you see as "losing" are simply the remaining hairs that weren't actually embedded in the wood and couldn't be completely combed out. It's similar to what happens after a haircut and blow-dry; you'll still find tiny hairs all over your body for some time afterward.
Therefore, we recommend simply using the brush. Over time, all the excess bristles will be removed, and it will no longer shed. Just like after showering after a visit to the hairdresser, you'll also have peace and quiet with any remaining hair.
